OUR MISSION

The Order of the Silver Star is a veteran-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We specialize in outreach programs for veterans and providing international

humanitarian aid. Staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers, we believe it is our duty and privilege to serve those in need. We believe in direct action and are proud to carry out missions that are both highly impactful and cost-effective.

SET SAIL - AVSP

AVSP - the American Veterans' Sailing Program. This program provides veterans the opportunity to set sail for free on the Great Lakes, learning new skills, cultivating lasting friendships, alleviating stress through sailing.

MISSION-CAPABLE - HAT

HAT - the Humanitarian Aid Team. HAT provides assistance around the world in times of crisis. We began operations during COVID-19, and have since served those impacted by wars and natural disasters.
